Discover the Hauntingly Beautiful Tune ‘Scars’ Courtesy of 23 Fields

Earlier this year, fellow writer Gabriel Mazza introduced me to an album called ‘To Follow This Year’s Fashion’. Courtesy of East Sussex-based alternative-folk act 23 Fields, it was a record that we both fell deeply in love with. Championing acoustic and traditional alt-folk stylings, the thirteen-track record is littered with evocative arrangements and heartfelt lyrics. Today, we’ll be honing in on the exceptional beautiful single called ‘Scars’ so, without further ado, let’s dive in shall we?

Soothing and mellow and featuring a hauntingly delicate violin, ‘Scars’ is a charming little tune that feels like a warm embrace, enveloping the listener in its tender melodies. Stephen Adams’ stunningly raspy vocal performance adds a layer of emotion to the track that captivates profoundly, and there’s a sense of nostalgia that is laced throughout.

Simple yet complex, understated yet seriously powerful, ‘Scars’ just worms its way into your heart and remains there long after it’s over.

A supremely gifted outfit, 23 Fields create emotionally rich and meaningful music, something that we will never tire of here at Mesmerized! Here’s to many more going forward!

Serious tune alert! Enjoy ‘Scars’ on Spotify now:
