What’s interesting, is how she manages to blend such a leftfield production with a lyricism that reeks of excess and obsession. The Berlin-based talent notices this ambivalence too: “…the song is a falsely upbeat tale of excess; pleasures that lead us to question our sanity and the blurred boundaries of a deep connection.”
There’s a whiff of new wave and retro glory in ‘Just Let It’, soon joined by more modern soundscapes and songwriting stylings. faults.’s vocals really hit the mark, perfectly fitting the malleable sonic gooey they are in. The chorus explodes into veiled excitement, taking the listener on a journey through unknown territories.
This isn’t her first gig; the talented artist can boast a long career in post-punk trio Plaisir, a sign that we are dealing with an experienced and enlightened creative. ‘Just Let It’ sees collaborator Peter Lundgren and Dirk Feistel joining faults. in her creative research.
