There’s an inherent pop quality to their melodies and vocal prowess, allowing the record to connect with an eclectic field of listeners while maintaining a charming unfiltered style.

Formed in January 2017, SickRichard consists of Sam on vocals and guitars, Ed on bass and keys/synth, and Steve on drums/percussion and vocals. Their trio generates an alluring sonic formula that blends decades of rock-n-roll, with notable influences from 80s/90s post-punk and alternative rock, as well as various forms of electronic music such as dub, trip-hop, ambient, and big beat.

Recorded at Buffalo Studios and Cable Street Studios with J.B. Pilon, ‘Chickens’ channels all the rebellious and personal imagery akin to the band, further pursuing their ideal of artistic integrity. The song is a testament to the band’s musical prowess and their ability to create a sound that is rather original.
