Discover My Glass World’s Ethereal Masterpiece ‘What We Call Love’

‘What We Call Love’ is a tune I recently stumbled upon from the London-based duo of Jamie Telford and Sean Read who perform under the moniker of My Glass World. The track was actually released in September of last year and formed part of their ‘Tree.shadow.piano.’ album, but they’ve just released a stunning music video to go along with the song. We’ve shared it below! The tune itself is a sonically eclectic blend of dream pop, synth rock, and even a soupçon of classical music. It’s a toughie to pin down genre-wise, but you know me – that’s what often draws me in these days!

“The words refer both to the straightforward meaning of the title,” says Jamie. “And the many disinformation campaigns that subject us daily to Orwellian doublespeak”. Proving themselves to be exemplary storytellers as well as wonderful songwriters, My Glass World has delivered a track of the absolute highest order.

The duo released full-length albums in 2021 and again in 2022, so we’re hopeful that they’ll follow a similar pattern this year. Either way, we’ll be on the lookout for any new music from these skilful two artists. ‘What We Call Love’ is an absolute winner and we’re so glad to have discovered it!
