UK-based band, slowride, have released their new single ‘Trip’ on October 8th, 2021. Combining alternative rock and indietronica, the anthemic, stadium-ready alt-pop is produced by Isaac Carpenter of American juggernauts AWOLNATION, and mastered by renowned engineer Vlado Mellor.
The song explores the balance in the spectrum of life, and the idea of taking a trip into self-discovery. The lyrics “ready, fire, aim” reflect the idea of leaning into life and figuring it out as you go. The accompanying music video features vintage Super 8 footage of vocalist Ali Epstone’s dad on a road trip in the USA in 1971.
slowride have been playing together for several years and have developed a commercial and radio-friendly sound. With the pandemic having stopped their constant touring, the band have been able to refocus their creative attention and produce this unique, genre-bending pop song.
