Discover James Spencer’s Beautifully Tender Single ‘If’

It wasn’t long ago that we first discovered Devon-based singer/songwriter James Spencer. Promoting ‘My Hand & My Heart’, we proudly proclaimed the tune as “a bundle of hope, resilience and comfort”. Today, I am honoured to share with you ‘If’, another effort from James’ latest album ‘Lucky Man’. Showcasing a much more gentle and tender sonic side, the duet features Abbe Martin from Sound Of The Sirens. Over a soft and acoustic landscape, the pair’s vocal harmonies meld together gorgeously, all culminating in an unbelievably beautiful and heartfelt track full of emotion and depth.

Thematically, James says that ‘If’ was written about that awkward part of romantic courtship. “‘If’ explores the ‘you go, I’ll go’ nature of first falling in love with someone,” he says. “The ‘not knowing’ if this person feels the way you do and the fear that they might not is a tender subject”.

Accompanying Spencer’s brand new song is a visually stunning music video that he created (seriously, is there anything this guy can’t do?) using AI which documents a colourful fairy tale romance. We are proud to share it with you today, and have no doubt you’ll love it as much as we do!
