Discover Jaeyn’s Hyperpop Masterpiece ‘Embrace’

Emerging from Vienna, electronic duo Jaeyn really are a discovery to be treasured. A real-life couple composed of creatives Nicole Jaey and Harry Jen, the pair champions a forward-thinking brand of electronica, exploring witty production, minimal beats and a certain hyper-pop character. The result is fresh and edgy sound matter, perfectly at home in today’s multi-fractioned reality.

They certainly had a busy year so far: following a series of singles earlier this year, Jaeyn was then able to release their second album, ‘Journey’. In it, we can observe and admire the artistic prowess of two very talented figures, clearly living their inspirational blessing. In particular, past single ‘Embrace’ caught our attention. Representing the last step into the album release, the track feels particularly crucial, perhaps a strong manifest of what the project stands for.

Bouncy beats meet pitched-up vocals, clearly diving into hyper-pop goodness. Surprisingly, the record also managed to dive into soulful and mellow territories, at least in the bridge, before jumping back into fast-paced, bubbly sound design. What’s more, ‘Embrace’ gets a mesmerising music video, “ a VFX masterpiece by Immortal Arts in close cooperation with Nicole”. Is there anything the two Austrian cannot do?
