Discover For You Brother’s Rap Rock Masterpiece ‘Nice Money’

In 2007, South Carolina-based multi-instrumentalist Jon Dash hired a rapper for a song he was working on. Up stepped Melvin Blakely, AKA Deep Soul School, and thus began a long-standing musical friendship until Deep’s untimely death in 2015.

Known to the world as For You Brother, the pair wrote over two hundred songs in five years, one of which was officially released a little over a month ago. Titled ‘America’, the tune has already racked up over 45,000 plays on Spotify, so Dash decided it was time for a follow-up. Allow me to introduce you to ‘Nice Money’.

Described by Jon as “a fun song to hopefully put a smile on your face,” ‘Nice Money’ is rap rock at its purest. Gritty guitar riffs, punchy drum work, and a scintillating vocal performance from Deep all culminate to produce a high-energy and electrifying anthem. Unique, impactful, and seriously addictive, ‘Nice Money’ showcases the enduring legacy of Melvin Blakely’s vocals and the duo’s unmatched musical synergy.

In today’s music scene dominated by generic and predictable styles, For You Brother offers an authentic and genuine approach to songwriting. It’s heart-on-sleeve and straight-from-the-soul stuff, and we can’t wait to hear more of their work soon!

Serious tune alert! Enjoy ‘Nice Money’ on Spotify now:
