London-based performer and singer/songwriter Bliss Carmxn has made their long-awaited return to the music scene with an upbeat and infectious new single called ‘Hey Oh Hey’. It’s the first we’ve heard from Bliss (real name Adam Kaasa) since their 2020 tune ‘Everything Is Powder’, and it sees the artist drawing a lyrical line in the sand when it comes to their life, love, and relationships. A seriously powerful bass and vocal-heavy track, ‘Hey Oh Hey’ brings to mind the likes of synth-pop duo Erasure with its pop sensibilities and synth-based goodness.
The song will form part of Carmxn’s upcoming debut EP ‘Hold My Hand And I’ll Hold Yours’. Described as a “vulnerable, fierce, soft, and joyful set of tracks,” the EP unfolds in reverse, akin to the unravelling of a relationship. It begins with the conclusion and ends with the beginning, an inventive and unique narrative arc I absolutely cannot wait to hear!
Speaking about their brand new tune, Bliss states: “If I’m an all-you-can-eat buffet, then this track gives you all the flavours of Daft Punk, Erasure, and Perfume Genius. It’s an anthem to dance to, to cry to, to draw a line in the sand and move on”. ‘Hey Oh Hey’ is pure perfection from an incredibly talented musician we can’t wait to hear more from!
