Discover a World of Bliss and Introspection in  ‘All You Shining Stars’

There’s a lot to be unpacked in ‘All You Shining Stars’. Not a record for the average listener, it’s a nugget of dreaminess and exploration, a worthy vehicle for meditation and introspection. Penned by Composer Shanan Estreicher and multi-genre trumpeter Itamar Borochov, the EP feels crepuscular, slowly moving between light orchestral textures, ambient-like soundscapes and nuanced trumpet phrasing.

From the very first note, Estreicher and Borochov demonstrate their remarkable chemistry, effortlessly weaving together trumpet and strings in a seamless musical dialogue.

A surprising yet fitting element of the record is the infusion of Middle Eastern improvisation. Borochov’s mastery shines as he incorporates elements of his own heritage into an already compelling EP. The result is a unique blend of Western classical sensibilities and the rich melodic traditions of the Middle East. The moments of improvisation add an element of surprise and spontaneity, further enhancing the EP’s allure.

A wonderful record, give it a chance.
