A quick look at Diana Omar’s Spotify profile reveals the impressive artistic trajectory she’s been enjoying in 2024. She certainly stepped up her game, releasing a sizeable number of singles and conquering listeners all around the world thanks to her evocative, gloomy R&B and indie pop imprint. Now, the Baltimore-based songstress closes the year with a bang, unveiling her charming EP ‘REVERIE’.
Featuring four tracks, the record contains the already released singles ‘fishbowl’, ‘reality’ and ‘plagiarize my life’, alongside a brand new offering, ‘cherry blossoms’. The latter picks up where Omar left off in October (‘sore throat’), although delving into a more intimate sonic direction, packed with sultry and elegant vibes. We’d argue there’s a considerable amount of R&B prowess in it, something that perfectly matches Diana’s luscious, expansive vocals.
Consolidating her position as an up-and-coming star, Omar looks to 20205 with a hopeful outlook – it’s not a question of luck, as she definitely has all of the qualities required to make it onto bigger stages and platforms. What’s more, we are told she’s a mechanical engineer by day – imagine being that smart AND so creatively gifted!
