Deltawelle are Back with a Bang on ‘Normalitätsvermessung’

Jeremy Bregman

Deltawelle is a new-wave quartet that hails from Leipzig in Germany. Made up of a Leipziger, a Londoner, and two Berliners, the band released their debut EP ‘Atme’ back in 2016. They’ve just dropped their brand new single called ‘Normalitätsvermessung’, which directly translates to normality measurement, and it’s an eclectic, gripping, and intoxicating little tune. Jumping between feelings of euphoria and melancholy, mixed in with some wild synthy indie goodness, ‘Normalitätsvermessung’ is simply too fascinating to ignore.

The track is the second to be released from Deltawelle’s upcoming EP entitled ‘Alles soll schön sein’ (Everything should be beautiful). A single of the same name was released in November of last year and, if ‘Normalitätsvermessung’ tickles your fancy, then it is also very much worthy of a listen!

Deltawelle, and ‘Normalitätsvermessung’, are more beautiful examples of a band and a song that I ordinarily wouldn’t have crossed paths with. I’m so grateful that they have been brought into my life though, and can’t wait to hear their full EP upon its release. The band plan on unleashing it in the middle of February, and I for one cannot wait to hear it!
