CS Hellman Releases Anthemic Gem ‘The Fear I Felt’

CS Hellman is a Nashville-based singer/songwriter and guitar extraordinaire who recently released one of my favourite tunes of the year with ‘The Fear I Felt’. Sure, there’s not much that I don’t rave about at the moment coming out of Nashville, but Hellman’s new track has just raised the bar once again! The dreamy alternative-rock song has been expertly crafted and pieced together and, in my humble opinion, is definitely stadium-ready! I can picture the chorus being belted out from a loving crowd while CS rips up another guitar solo front and centre.

Lyrically, ‘The Fear I Felt’ sees Hellman telling the personal and somewhat harsh coming-of-age story of his evolution into a musician. “In my early development my dad told me I wasn’t good enough to do it,” he says. “I had to prove him wrong and show that I was capable of doing it if I worked hard enough”.

Where CS got his rich, intense, and emotive vocals is anyone’s guess, but they add yet another layer of intimacy and raw emotion to the already captivating tune. Whether he’s belting out powerful choruses or delivering heartfelt verses, Hellman’s vocals are an integral part of what makes ‘The Fear I Felt’ so special, resonant, and unforgettable.
