Penned by Australian rockers COSMICA, the single is as sharp and charming as expected.
Built over an eclectic formula balanced between alt-rock and 90s grunge stylings, ‘Castle of Dark Illusions’ is surprisingly friendly; aimed at a wider audience, the track keeps distortion levels in check, instead favouring a strong lyrical approach, with Teah Biviano’s lead vocals completely crowning the record and stealing the listeners’ attention. Truthfully, those vocals have a pretty fuzzy character themselves, a feature that’s a perfect match for such a vibrant effort.
