Composers Concordance Celebrates Its 40 Years with Strong Compilation Album

An expansive, long record, ‘CompCord@40’ is perhaps more of a mission statement, a collection of multi-genre and eclectic pieces shining a light on Composers Concordance’s enlightened activities. A non-profit organization active in New York City, CC constantly presents and produces a variety of concerts in the Big Apple, with strong attention to musical authenticity.

Now, their activities get imprinted on a record format, thanks to a compilation collecting a whopping 22 tracks from some of Composers Concordance’s favourite artists and composers. There’s something for everyone in it: from classical overtures to funky and fusion gems, passing through electronic material and abstract matter. What’s striking is the quality of each track, signalling the careful curation activity fiercely powered by CC.

‘CompCord@40’ gets released via Composers Concordance Records, and seeks to celebrate the organization’s 40 years of being a powerful cultural entity in the New York scene. Originally established in 1984 by Patrick Hardish and Joseph Pehrson, CC is now a reality of the American grassroots landscape, empowering its talented community of artists towards success.
