Coma Beach Share Striking Concept EP

‘A Madman’s Dream/Mind Descending’ can be considered a concept EP, a long, witty narrative expanded over five raw and vibrant tracks. Described as “pointing towards the painful and excruciating emotional odyssey of the unnamed antihero” – as seen in the classic Beckett play ‘Waiting for Godot’ – the record is quite curious, in that it contrasts elegant and culturally rich lyricism with a rebellious and gritty punk formula.

Such a contrast is pretty striking, fully capturing the listener’s attention in Coma Beach’s obscure yet intriguing artistic universe. Hailing from Germany, the group exudes deep and resonating vocals, always including a strong vintage flair in it all. The record itself is quite lo-fi, in its most basic meaning. It is likely a positive feature – especially in today’s over-polished music industry.

Speaking about ‘A Madman’s Dream/Mind Descending’, Coma Beach continue: “It features the following five songs from our album ‘The Scapegoat’s Agony’, all of which have been more or less slightly abridged for this release”.
