Cheree Shuffles our References in Industrial EP ‘Factory’

This one is for the real hardcore listeners. Are you a lover of pop melodies and soothing vibes? This is not for you, trust us. But, if you happen to flourish in more leftfield, experimental and distorted territories – as we do – then the discovery of this Oakland-based four-piece outfit will put a smile on your face. Cheree are as punchy, powerful and heart-shaking as they come, instantly wrapping you in their furious, rebellious material, a hypnotizing blend of noise rock and noise electronica, providing a different take and an escape route from our chaotic society. You’ll be free from restraints when listening to Cheree: on your own, roaming in artistic’s eclecticism and breaking force.

‘Factory’ is their latest EP, a collection of 6 tracks encompassing everything from dark Industrial tones to grunge and post-metal references. It all gets processed through Cheree‘s unique sonic formula, made up of sickening distortion, extreme fuzziness, and a knack for disorienting the listener. Isn’t that the goal? making sure the listening experience is as quirky and unconventional as possible, allowing us to overcome our sleepy consciousness, induced by a life that’s been too gridlocked to society’s norms and conventions.

A truly worthy discovery – notably, lead singer Vanessa’s fierce vocals is one of the highlights of the record.
