Chantal Jüppner Shares Introspective Gem ‘Don’t Quite Belong’

Channelling teenage angst and the confusion that everyone experiences while growing up, Chantal Jüppner shares her latest effort, ‘Don’t Quite Belong’. A nuanced and poignant acoustic offering, the track builds its dreamy and lo-fi character through a charming acoustic arrangement, the perfect framework for Jüppner’s gentle and kind vocals, floating over the instrumental in emotional fashion.

‘Don’t Quite Belong’ is one of the most authentic cries for help we have heard in a while. Drawing from personal experience, Jüppner echoes her struggle with social anxiety, diving into introspective and honest storytelling, while offering solace and comfort to the keen listener.

Describing the lyrical inspiration behind the song, Chantal explains: “It’s a mirror showing myself at a time, where I was stuck in my own alienation. I isolated myself, due to overthinking and social anxiety. Knowing that many other people might see their selves in the reflection of Don’t Quite Belong was reason enough for me to write it.”
