Built over an infectious blend of funk and a generous amount of rocky guitar riffing, ‘Average Man’ moves with charm at a sustained pace, crowned by Stephan’s dynamic and malleable vocals, extremely evocative and tongue-in-cheek. A fantastic offering from Casii, showcasing once again her class and artistic charge. Her upcoming EP ‘Relationship Status’ is set to be unveiled later this year.
Speaking about the inspiration behind ‘Average Man’, Stephan explains: “I was inspired by Shania Twain’s documentary, where her ex-husband cheated on her while she was going through Lyme disease. An Oncology Nurse told me it’s so common for some men to leave their partners when they get cancer, that nurses will counsel women about it.”
