Rapturous and hyper-fuzzy, yet capable of softness and meaningful moments; ‘Warm Regards’ is certainly a rich and eclectic offering, showcasing the power and charisma behind Nashville-based duo Carolina Drama. Balanced over alt-rock stylings and indie coolness, the EP opens with the short yet sweet anthem ‘$19.99’, then followed by the more substantial alt-banger ‘Don’t Think’, further enriched by Haley Durham’s fierce vocals.
Title track ‘Warm Regards’ gives the listeners a glimpse of Carolina Drama’s soothing and emotional side, making ample use of acoustic guitars and a crepuscular, intense arrangement. ‘I Don’t Like You’ takes the record to a close with more traditional guitar riffing, showcasing the unadulterated rock energy enjoyed by the group.
Speaking about the EP, Carolina Drama explain: “We’ve been working on this record for a long ass time, and we’re really thankful that now our friends can stop making fun of us for having a bunch of songs that nobody’s ever heard.
