Rounding off our week in the most perfect of ways is ‘Easy Game’, the brand new single from Bunny Alex, a Belgian-born bedroom pop artist who is currently based in Liverpool. It’s the singer/songwriter’s sophomore release, following her debut tune ‘Habits‘, and it tells an emotional yet upbeat tale of dreams, heartbreak, youth…life. Written, performed, and co-produced by Alex, the track is profoundly honest and emotive, but it’s also light and fun, relatable and utterly infectious.
Sonically, the musician takes inspiration from groups like MUNA and artists like Taylor Swift and Norwegian singer/songwriter Anna Lotterud, better known as Anna of the North. Filled with catchy vocal melodies, deep bass, and the sweetest sounding synths, ‘Easy Game’ offers a wonderfully refreshing blend of vulnerability and optimism.
Yet another musician who is just getting started, Bunny Alex has undoubtedly shown the world what she’s capable of. Her music is resonating and, given her candid and truthful approach, it’s easy to understand why. What comes next for the artist? We’re not exactly sure. But we’re pretty certain we’ll be hearing from her again very soon!
