Emerging from Berlin, Bromsen have been one of our best indietronica discoveries in the past year or so. You see, the talented pair seems to have found a rather personal and charming sonic formula, oscillating between new-wave influences and more conventional synth-pop, often walking the line between leftfield and popular. What matters though, is the fact that their music manages to stay relevant and relatable, placing themselves as the potential target of a wide audience. Notably, the group has just signed with Epictronic for their upcoming debut album ‘Brothers in Mind’.
Crowning a project that seems to be growing month after month, Bromsen now return with their latest effort, ‘Read About It’, a piece which seems to exhibit a steadier and poppier outlook than some of its predecessors. In it, the listeners will rejoice in the German duo’s irresistible blend of drum machines, bright synthetisers and veiled guitars, maintaining a rather positive aura.
Crucially, vocals seem to be taking center stage, showcasing the pair’s songwriting prowess and vocal abilities. ‘Read About It’ explores a meaningful avenue, serving as a tribute to all creative beings, especially those who dedicated their life to the intense search for artistic glory.
