Bridges Ablaze are Back with a Bang on ‘Hellbent’

Jeremy Bregman

In 2020, the Austin, Texas-based heavy metal duo that is Bridges Ablaze released an absolutely killer cover of 30 Seconds To Mars’ ‘The Kill’. They hadn’t been heard from since…until now! ‘Hellbent’ is the band’s debut original single, and it was appropriately released earlier this month on Friday the 13th. Using metalcore elements to form the tune’s foundation, Bridges Ablaze also blur the lines between sub-genres creating a raw, honest, unfiltered, and simply smashing track. ‘Hellbent’ is powerful, emotional, and high-octane metal at its very best! A song about overcoming adversity and always getting back up on your feet, it’s a tune that is relatable and much needed in today’s times.

Brien Allen and Ruben Zamora are the brains behind Bridges Ablaze, two virtuoso guitarists whose influences range from death metal to jazz and everything in between. It’s this refusal to be placed inside a box that I believe separates the duo from their peers. They are here to make bold statements and are not willing to conform any time soon.

I’ve fallen pretty hard for ‘Hellbent’ I must say. It’s anthemic, aggressive, and seriously catchy. I can’t wait to hear more from Bridges Ablaze!

Serious tune alert! Enjoy ‘Hellbent’ on Spotify now:
