Boey Unveils Meaningful Album ‘Acoustic Space’

Supported by an array of British tastemakers, including Future Hits Radio, talented troubadour Boey has all the right cards to become a household name: vibrant, nuanced and expressive songwriting paired with soothing, evocative vocals. It’s a simple formula, granted. But it works, it always has. And in the case of Boey, it’s almost overwhelming; he’s built for this.

‘Acoustic Space’ is the London-based creative’s latest effort, a stunning album that follows up on his debut record, ‘Happy’, released earlier this year. If that was a well-rounded pop and R&B offering, ‘Acoustic Space’ seeks a more intimate and minimal direction, wrapping Boey’s excellent songwriting in acoustic tones (exactly what it says on the tin, after all).

We’d argue that this record makes it easier to connect with Boey; leaving behind electronic textures and expensive production, the listeners are now able to fully focus on the artist’s heartwarming vocals and relevant lyricism, connecting with him on a deeper level. Opener ‘Breathe’ gains ‘lead track’ status, a pacifist anthem that will certainly resonate with our current reality.
