The keen reader will gladly remember Blueprint Tokyo, American indie and dreamy outfit boasting a healthy amount of sonic eclecticism and relatable, evocative songwriting. Writing about a previous single, ‘Mission Control’, we proudly declared it “an indie-rock anthem exuding raw energy that makes for an unforgettable listening experience”.
We stand by our word: the Oklahoma City-based outfit has all the right cards to impress us: from the many emotional synthy textures to luscious and fuzzy guitar tones, passing through dynamic vocals and a plethora of nostalgic effects. ‘Blue’ is Blueprint Tokyo’s latest effort, a deep dive into some of their recent material and brand-new tracks. Featuring five flashy songs, the record is an eclectic and fierce journey through the duo’s vibrant sonic universe, constantly oscillating between guitar-powered euphoria and more pop lenient anthems.
Speaking about the EP, they explain: “A collection of songs that cover a diverse audio landscape and deal with subjects of technology, maturing, personal growth, and the challenges of living in modern society.”
