Oklahoma City-based duo Blueprint Tokyo has just unleashed what is undoubtedly one of the best tunes I’ve heard all year with ‘Mission Control’. It’s literally perfect from start to finish. From the dual vocal performances to the driving and hypnotic guitar riffs, the indie-rock anthem exudes a raw energy that makes for an unforgettable listening experience. Passionate, heartfelt, and undeniably stadium-ready, it’s a track that I find myself instantly putting straight back on once it’s finished – the sign of a true musical masterpiece destined to become a classic.
It’s not our first encounter with the duo, having previously featured their highly eclectic and quirky single ‘Stand and Deliver’. We labelled it an “absolutely stunning offering” and, with ‘Mission Control’, the pair’s evolution and development has reached new heights.
Comprised of Kevin Dawson and Andrew Hale, Blueprint Tokyo is an act I sincerely believe deserves a bigger following. Having been on the scene since 2021 and with seven singles and an EP to their name, they consistently deliver high-quality music that simply demands more attention. The good news is that the pair have promised us more new songs very soon, so don’t be surprised if you see us singing their praises again shortly!
