Beth Olive Debuts with Relatable Pop Gem ‘This World You’re Living In’

Writing pop music is not as easy as it might seem. You see, finding the perfect topline, a meaningful storyline and a catchy hook is a rather hard endeavour, usually reserved for expert songwriters and seasoned creatives. Unless your name is Beth Olive: then, your debut single is bound to be a slice of relatable pop goodness, an incredibly modern gem packed with poignancy and introspective lyricism. ‘This World You’re Living In’ is precisely all that; Olive’s debut single, the record showcases the songwriting prowess of the young British talent.

Emerging from Liverpool, Beth Olive enters the music industry with charm and gravitas, further reflected in her evocative and powerful vocals, fully projecting the listener towards an unforgettable sonic experience. The production counters the storyline perfectly, courtesy of Claudia Mills (from BITTERS).

Explaining the collaborative process behind the track, Olive explains: “We transformed an originally soft acoustic unrequited love ballad into an Alt Pop creation that is an Oxymoron when pairing the lyrics with the upbeat music and simultaneously changes the meaning depending on the mood you want to feel at anytime.”
