We’ve been following the work of London-based producer, DJ, and songwriter BALTHAZARD since his debut release ‘Once I’ve Been There’ in May of last year. I can’t lie…It’s been a journey watching his music and style evolve. This is particularly evident, I believe, in his latest two singles ‘About You’ and ‘Jealousy’.
Collaborating with Croydon-based rapper Righteous Reck, BALTHAZARD concocts two high-energy and fast-paced beats that seamlessly fuse elements of garage, dance, hip-hop, and even a little pop for good measure. ‘About You’ is an infectious and intense piece of music that also features the beautiful vocals of Brie Devine. It’s upbeat, hard-hitting, and simply captivating!
‘Jealousy’ sees Righteous Reck offer up a more introspective and reflective approach. Exploring the intricacy of romantic relationships and their toxic qualities, the rapper truly does shine over the exceptional beats created by BALTHAZARD.
It’s a match made in heaven as far as I’m concerned, and all I can do is hope that this won’t be the end of their fruitful partnership, but just the beginning. I’ve fallen hard for both of these tunes, and I’m pretty certain that you’ll be doing just the same!
