Now, the Swedish musician quickly returns with yet another slice of mellow folk goodness. Decisively more uplifting and playful, ‘Train Wreck Coming’ raises the stakes with country-flavoured charisma and guitar eclecticism, all delivered on a fast-tempo brushed drum groove. What more could you want?
Scandinavia has always been good at their faux brand of classic Americana – so to speak – and ‘Train Wreck Coming’ is no exception. With Bart Topher once again lending his gritty and evocative vocal to the cause, Backstrom manage to pen a record that’s a joy on the ears and the mind – leaving the lyrical aspect quite open to interpretation.
A collaborative effort, ‘Train Wreck Coming’ was produced all over the world, remotely, with Backstromg coordinating the efforts towards the making of such a good track. He knows what he’s doing, as his songwriting expertise widely showcases.
