We are honestly impressed with Ava Valianti. ‘Wishing Well’ – her latest effort – is incredibly evocative and vibrant, showcasing a level of artistic maturity that’s highly unusual for such a young songstress. Built over elegant, evocative mainstream stylings, ‘Wishing Well’ is a wonderful slice of pop prowess laced with poignant lyricism and cathartic sonic material. The result is an expansive, intimate record wrapping the listeners into Valianti’s personal experience – one that will likely be familiar to many teenagers out there.
Describing the pains and the constant change involved with growing up, ‘Wishing Well’ reveals itself as the ultimate coming-of-age anthem, a relatable gem shining a light on the change from childhood to early adulthood.
