Atomic Bronco’s ‘Fly Away’ is an Understated Jewel

Atomic Bronco is the retro-inspired indie-rock project of Austin-based singer/songwriter and producer Kyle Nuss. Just a few days ago he released a brand new single entitled ‘Fly Away’, and it serves as the follow-up to last year’s hit ‘Foolish Games’. Taking a more delicate and understated approach this time around, ‘Fly Away’ begins with an acoustic guitar and gentle drums. Nuss then makes his elegant vocal introduction in a warm and hushed way and brings along his electric guitar for the ride. He creates a brooding, almost uneasy atmosphere that suggests there’s more going on here than meets the eye.

The tune pulls you in straight away with its picked acoustic guitar riff, and you become instantly mesmerised by Atomic Bronco’s overall soundscape. It’s so rich and vibrant and full-bodied! “‘Fly Away’ is probably my personal favourite song that I’ve put out,” says the musician. And while I haven’t been through his entire discography (yet), who am I to argue with him?

Retro-inspired yet distinctly modern, the track is just an absolute gem from start to finish. I’m so happy to have discovered Atomic Bronco. I have no doubt you will be too!
