Asgard Raven Returns with Nostalgic Gem ‘Tranquility’

Of Asgard Raven, we wrote: “Anthemic guitars and charming, brilliant vocals that have nothing to envy to the Gallagher brothers”. This quote takes on a new light after the recent news involving Oasis and their upcoming tour. Perhaps it will boost Raven’s project too? ‘Tranquility’ is his latest effort, once again a slice of nostalgic Britpop built over a slow-paced yet electrifying instrumental, vibrant and slightly melancholic.

Asgard’s malleable and rebellious vocals are a perfect match for such a luscious sonic formula. Also boasting a more general blues and rock flair, the British talent has unsurprisingly built a decent following on streaming services – perhaps a surprise given the nostalgic nature of his songwriting. That said, it is also evidence that England has a big appetite for Britpop.

Speaking about the inspiration behind ‘Tranquility’, Raven explains: “It’s a song about how difficult it can be to find any peace and quiet in the modern world, and how the demons are never too far away.”
