Arn-Identified Flying Objects and Alien Friends Share New Record

Arn-Identified Flying Objects and Alien Friends is the solo project of Arne Floryd, a former member of the Swedish folk-rock act Redmoon. Assembling some of his previous bandmates as well as the legendary David Myhr (The Merrymakers), we are proud to dive into Floryd’s incredible tune ‘Some Angels Never Learn to Fly’. The song features on his 2021 double album ’17 Birds at the Summer’s Gate’, and presents more of the folky, soft-rock sounds that fans of Floryd’s have already come to know and love. The tonal change between the verse and the chorus, while a little unexpected, works an absolute treat. And, with Myhr sharing vocal duties, there’s just nothing to not love about the track!

“I wrote this song improvising, on a whim when rehearsing,” says Floryd of the tune. “Though I wrote the lyrics a couple of weeks later”. Don’t you just love a little insight into the birth of a song? I picture all of them, in the studio, just jamming away.

‘Some Angels Never Learn to Fly’ really is a perfect representation of Floryd’s style and sound. It’s also a testament to his ability to create captivating and memorable music.
