Arliston Gear Up for Upcoming Album with ‘Vertical’

Getting closer and closer to unveiling their upcoming album ‘Disappointment Machine’, London-based outfit Arliston unveils their latest effort, a stunningly evocative single that pushes their eclectic artistry into musical glory – simply meaning that they are getting better and better release after release. ‘Vertical’ is the biggest evidence of it: a soothing and nuanced record that completely wraps the listeners in blissful nostalgia and anthemic melodies.

Resembling a fully-fledged stadium-ready ballad, ‘Vertical’ moves with character along lush tones and crepuscular textures, particularly propped up by a warm and intimate grand piano and spacious guitars. Arliston’s cathartic and vibrant vocals, delivered by Jack Ratcliffe with unmatched charisma, crown the record with their share of brooding energy, while George Hasbury’s subtle yet intense production is absolutely incredible.

Sam Catchpole on drums and Brett Shaw on percussion join Arliston in the making of ‘Vertical’. Speaking about the inspiration behind it, the British duo explain: “It’s a lot of fun to play live as it’s got a sort of anthemic energy to it and a guitar solo which sounds very un-arliston on paper, but I think it fits perfectly on the album and rounds the project out adding an energy that would otherwise be missing.”
