Ariahindream is a trip-hop and synth-pop singer/songwriter and producer based in London, and she’s just unleashed her avant-garde and breathtaking debut album entitled ‘Night Vision’. Written, produced, and recorded all by the musician herself in her home studio, ‘Night Vision’ is a cinematic, experimental, and dream-like journey from start to finish. At the height of her struggles with anxiety and depression, Ariah decided to get down to work – and has centred the album on a reimagining of Selene, the mythological goddess and personification of the moon.
‘inFear’ is the album’s opener, and it sets the tone and mood perfectly for what’s to follow. Emotionally charged, eerie, intense, and profoundly honest, it’s a tune that sucks you straight into Ariah’s world, and your levels of intrigue to hear more simply cannot be ignored. ‘Under Ice’ follows and the artist’s vulnerable, emotional vocals steal the show. Just beautiful once again.
There are six more tracks that makeup ‘Night Vision’ and, in truth, each could have its very own write-up. It’s an album of astonishingly ethereal and otherworldly songs and, if you’ve fallen as in love with it as I have, you can purchase your very own signed copy from Ariah’s Bandcamp page or her shop.
