Merging elements of dark electropop with alternative rock, rap, and Indian classical, ANGELI crafts a short yet bold and powerful anthem. As for the meaning behind ‘Kohinoor’, ANGELI says that she’s, “always been fascinated with the idea of home and belonging as a second-generation immigrant”. It has become this symbol of power and glory that so accurately describes colonialism and toxic relationships”.
