Anglo-Spanish rock outfit And The Sunset Burns have been hard at work this year. Following up on a string of singles, the group recently crowned their 2024 with an impressive album release, the earthy, bluesy jewel ‘All My Sins’. In it, we are confronted with tons of classic rock energy, together with a certain psychedelic aura and a distinct blues character. Such a melting pot of influences is interesting but is also very relatable and grounding.
Shying away from modern production artefacts, And the Sunset Burns throw their sonic hopes over fuzzy guitars, shiny distortions and rolling drums. It works: the final result is rather traditional, yet still relevant and frankly refreshing, especially in the current musical landscape.
Speaking about the inspiration behind the album, the band explains: “Every song on the album captures a sinful transgression that we’ve either experienced or witnessed with that then being resolved. With our debut album, we really wanted to showcase the breadth of our sound and the spread of influences – Indie, Rock and Roll and Latin.”
