Ana Gracey Embraces New Beginnings with Wonderful Record ‘Run’

It is rather inspiring to analyse the circumstances around Ana Gracey‘s return to recorded music. ‘Run’ – her latest effort – is not just a single, it’s an anthem of rebirth, a new beginning after some complex live occurrences. As the British talent explains: “It’s been a tough few years – losing both parents and keeping their musical legacy alive while running the recording studio my father built and going through a divorce before finding love again and dealing with the difficulties a blended family poses.”

You might have guessed, Gracey is the daughter of jazz-rock legends Barbara Thompson and John Hiseman. Carrying an extraordinary musical ability, Ana can count on a long career both on stage and in studios, making her one of the most esteemed vocalists in the London scene. ‘Run’ is the first single from two upcoming EPs, with songs that are sure to touch, inspire, and empower. One of these will even feature Ana’s mother on saxophone, a rare treat for any fan of the genre. These releases will culminate in an album, solidifying Gracey’s place in the world of music as a gifted singer and songwriter.

‘Run’ is also a musical watershed, embracing a new, modern electronic-pop style that feels poignant and slightly dark, the perfect companion for Gracey’s evocative, nuanced and anthemic vocals. A wonderful record: looking forward to hearing more.
