Amáutica Unveils Latest Album ‘Sin Altares’

There’s a distinct post-rock energy in ‘Sin Altares’, making us feel nostalgic. Balanced over new wave and punk stylings, the record feels gloomy and obscure, yet punchy and rebellious. Such a delicate balance between darkness and fierceness comes to us courtesy of Argentinian group Amáutica. Active for over a decade, the band pens ‘Sin Altares’ as their latest album.

Following up from their debut album ‘Rectificando el Sueño’, ‘Sin Altares’ showcases once again all the complexity and vibrancy that Amáutica bring with them. Their music is global and expansive but with a strong leftfield flair. El Guru and Romina Dus guide the project, layering fuzzy and cryptic guitar riffs with evocative female/male vocals. The sonic imprint continuously shifts from elegant, anthemic and gloomy rock operas to raw and gritty gems.

Speaking about the album, Amáutica explain: “We have respected the nature with which each song has been revealed to us, and we have provided the Amáutica sound as a means so that they can manifest on this plane. We recommend listening to this album as a whole. And for its best appreciation, worth delving into its lyrics, since they are our particular vision of ancestral wisdom, magic and spirituality”.
