Who’s Amanda Brecker? She’s the artist you were looking for. Championing a powerful, empowering and vivid pop style, the talented American draws from early ‘2000 pop-rock in order to infuse her material with a slightly retro quality, always very charming and measured. ‘Man Of My Dreams’ is exactly that: a jump into known territories, delivered with passion and drive by Brecker. The project’s latest effort, the single builds its identity on an anthemic chorus, catchy and relatable, while managing flows of guitars and punchy drums.
While the rock component is obviously there, like we said previously ‘Man Of My Dreams’ is a distinctly pop effort, although the guitar solo towards the ending will have you thinking otherwise. Echoing the likes of Kelly Clarkson and Avril Lavigne, among others, the record is a fine, fine offering, especially for all late 90s kids. The producer is accomplished musician, songwriter and producer Daniel Jakubovic.
