$am Brodie Is Scotland’s New Rap Talent

There’s a new wave of artists taking Britain (and the world) by storm right now. Young, fresh minds, not afraid to blur genre boundaries and create new formulas and new sonic references. Part of the category, we find $am Brodie, rapper and producer emerging from Scotland. At only 21 years old, he can already boast quite the achievements, having turned heads far and wide in the industry, gaining features on prestigious music mags and production credits for big artists. Brodie is also championing a solo project, nearing 20k monthly listeners on Spotify.

Debuting in 2020, he’s now returning with a hip-hop banger, ‘upside down’. A collaboration with benny mayne, Lola Scott and Young Taylor, the track takes the shape of a mellow gem, triumphing into a catchy and relatable chorus. To note, the production works just perfectly, not too hard-hitting yet still groovy and bouncy, providing the perfect backdrop for Brodie’s expressive flow, here possessing charm and nonchalance. Mixed and mastered by Sam himself, the record won’t have trouble connecting with keen listeners.

Yes, Brodie is part of the new wave. We welcome him, as the innovator he is. Looking forward to hearing more!
