Finally some serious business! Hailing from Hartlepool, UK, eclectic and witty outfit All The Nines are saving our day; lost in a sea of poppy submissions, we get sent a complex math rock banger with enough energy to shake walls and crush mountains. That’s the effect ‘The Yodeller’ will have on you: balanced between hardcore punch and intricate arrangements, the track is an absolute joy to listen to.

From Battles-like guitar riffs to brainiac drum grooves, there’s something for everybody. The keen listener will also notice the constant balance between light, playful distortions and more chaotic metal matter. That’s what the band is about, and frankly, it’s a nice contrast.
Vocal-wise, ‘The Yodeller’ shifts from much-in-fashion spoken words to a screamy and evocative outlook. Speaking about the lyricism in it, AT9 explain: “It narrates the story of the Chicken Farmer, the yodeller and his soon-to-be-dead cat.” This is a Shy Bairn Records release.
