Emerging victorious after a period of personal struggles, Alistair James finds healing comfort in the expressive potential of his music. In particular, what he needed was an exuberant and vibrant vibe, something to get him going after a rather dark few months. Taking pen to paper, the Middlesborough-based creative crafts a catchy rock’n’roll anthem with tons of Americana and traditional character.
Built over power-pop and bluesy stylings, ‘It’s Time To Move On’ is first and foremost an empowering anthem, a call to ‘seize the day” – as James so charismatically sings. Motivating the listeners into being the best version of themselves even in the face of tough times, Alistair uses the track as a personal ‘call-to-action’; mirroring his own personal experience, the talented British troubadour seeks to find a new positive way forward.
Speaking about the inspiration behind it all, James explains: “It’s amazing how little ailments add up and get on top of you. They were starting to get to me, I had to shake it off and get back to playing guitar and performing again and a real rock n roll stomper served me best to do that”.
