AJ Hans is a visually impaired, self-taught singer/songwriter and producer who, at the end of last month, released a ridiculously catchy and mellifluous little tune called ‘Temporary Love’. It’s the first we’ve heard from AJ since his 2020 single ‘On My Own’, but I think you’ll agree with me that it’s been well worth the wait! As he effortlessly blends elements of upbeat summery pop with smooth R&B, Hans lyrically reflects on previous relationships that didn’t work out. While upsetting and painful at the time, he eventually comes to the realisation that they just weren’t meant to be, and he’s better off once out of the relationship.
A feel-good track of the highest order, ‘Temporary Love’ is really a perfect example of just what AJ Hans is all about – infectious melodies, heartfelt vocals, and exceptional acoustic guitar work. As he looks to the likes of Ed Sheeran, Justin Timberlake, Bruno Mars, and Stevie Wonder for inspiration, the musician also makes sure that his signature sound remains a constant presence in his work.
The song is an absolute earworm if I’m being honest…I simply cannot get it out of my head! AJ is an artist who’s clearly filled with talent and flair, so I just hope that he doesn’t make us wait another three years for more music!
