There’s something incredibly unique in ‘Fire Is Dangerous (A DnB PSA)’. A brainiac, hard-hitting DnB tune, the record is drenched in spoken word samples themed on wildfire prevention and past disasters. Those give the track a rather gloomy and creepy outlook, something that’s very striking and catchy, hard to forget. ‘Smokey Bear’ is the one giving such a meaningful public service announcement, adding to the single’s quirky and oblique character.
Penned by Denver-based creative Agent Of Kaos, ‘Fire Is Dangerous (A DnB PSA)’ is truly remarkable in its technical execution, with high-level production that completely overwhelms and wows the listeners, packed with glitches, digital synths and liquid grooves. We should at this point ask: who is this release for? And we don’t necessarily have the answer to that, although it could provide quite a niche atmosphere in selected clubs. Perhaps it’s best tasted as a one-off, an artsy piece meant to expand AOK’s musical portfolio.
Speaking about the inspiration behind the track, the American producer explains: “I wanted to see if I could blend classic Drum and Bass music into a more entertaining release, and I feel it came out very well”. It’s definitely a remarkable result.
