Introduced by a rather catchy and poppy motif, ‘New Love’ soon moves into alternative territories, blending folk-inspired lyricism with electronic and mainstream stylings, a formula that seems to be working out well for Adrienne Leska, the talented American creative behind the record.
Showcasing her vocal qualities, Leska is able to build a tapestry of harmonies and chants that connect directly to her folk roots; the result is an enchanting, cathartic record which has a strong Nordic component in it, yet feels friendly and relatable, empowering a strong and memorable chorus and groovy, uplifting production.
A gifted songwriter, musician and teacher, Adrienne is passionate about sharing her knowledge with the younger generation, heading a program called “Positive Producing: Songwriting for the Mind, Body and Soul”. While Leska seems to have not yet found her specific audience, we have no doubt she’s got all the right qualities to make that happen. Musical talent is easily recognizable, and in this case, there’s plenty of it available.
