A Number From the Ghost Blends Music, Visuals and Tech in ‘One, Stop’

When approaching A Number From the Ghost, one is not dealing with nuanced and leftfield sonic matter, but rather with a multi-disciplinary effort, an impressive artistic performance encompassing music, visual mediums, and tech. The project of Cincinnati visionary Peter Adams, A Number From the Ghost sets out to be a selfless exploration of modernity, a brave jump into the unknown. The result is a musical experience that transcends the boundaries of art itself, finding new ways to connect with the final user.

‘One, Stop’ is the perfect example of that. In it, the listener will rejoice in the experimental interface Adams give the song. Built on experimental tones, the single is equipped with a dedicated website, allowing us to experience the track also on a visual level. At the core of it, stems the research for new ways to engage with music, something A Number From the Ghost is clearly passionate about.

As Peter explains: “Music has always played an integral role in video games, enhancing emotions through sound. With ‘One, Stop,’ we wanted to reverse that dynamic. We wanted music to become the primary driving force behind the interactive experience, with visuals that respond and highlight the contours of the audio. This project is a testament to the power of merging music and visuals in an entirely new way.”
