Sebastian Clarin Shares Latest Effort ‘Tongue Particles’

There’s something inherently dreamy and ethereal in Clarin’s music, often balanced over dark and haunting harmonies. A quirky sonic formula, which seems to be working out well for the Swedish songster. Blending new wave, synth-pop and the classic Nordic hazy electronic formula, Sebastian manages to craft music that feels fresh and innovative, while rooted in tradition. What’s more, his vocals are so malleable and introspective, it’s easy to connect to them.

‘Tongue Particles’ – Clarin’s latest effort – is the strongest evidence of what was said above. Following up from last year’s debut album ‘Aerial Cuts’, the Stockholm resident supercharges his artistic guns, delving into feral and anthemic electro-pop territories. ‘Tongue Particles’ will surprise the listener positively. With immense charisma and gravitas, Sebastian Clarin takes on a journey through smoky, shadowy arpeggiated new wave, counterbalanced by bright soundscapes and bell-like sonic details.

The same aesthetic is then mirrored in the lyrical theme. As Clarin explains: “The writing of this song began during heavy fever chills. Something mysterious happens when you have 40 degrees Celsius in your body. The theme is sexual submission – regardless of inner doubts, just blindly surrendering to the dark, but in the moment, so intoxicating power when another person completely takes over one’s body system.”
