Dirty Blonde Return with Raw and Euphoric Banger ‘Run (When I Tell You)’

Debuting earlier this year, Dirty Blonde rose to the top of the new music scene at lightning speed, showcasing attitude, grit, and fierce musicianship. The collaborative effort of Ailis Mackay (vocals, guitar) and Hayley Tait (guitar, backing vocals), the band calls Manchester their home, letting their sound reflect that very same raw indie energy that the British city has long been a flagpole of.

Praised by the BBC as ‘one of the most exciting acts to come through Radio 1’s Future Alternative’, Dirty Blonde have had a stellar year, taking part in a handful of headline shows including an appearance at The Great Escape Festival in Brighton. Now, the talented pair reiterates their driving force with latest single ‘Run (When I Tell You)’, a gritty, distorted jewel that doubles down on Dirty Blonde’s authentic nature. Featuring rebellious drums and rough guitars, the track also shares a certain haunting vibe, really making it a euphoric and energetic banger.

Speaking about the inspiration behind ‘Run (When I Tell You), the pair explain: “A lot of people are shocked when they hear what we sound like as there is a bit of a stigma of what women in music should sound like so we wanted to write something that really demonstrated the heavier side of our sound with big riffs and strong vocals.”
