We are fairly familiar with Eric Vattima, having championed his solo project in the past few years. The Nashville-based creative has always had a knack for uplifting, raw rock energy, lending his punchy vocals to alt-rock and punk territories. We are glad to see him back on the scenes, in the form of a collaborative project with fellow talent Jacob Redding, here manning guitars and production duties. thankmelater. will surprise a whole lot of peeps, debuting with their irresistible anthem ‘shutmedown.’.
In it, the listener will get drawn into thankmelater.’s emotional yet fierce musical universe, a place made up of alt-rock and electronica influences, perfectly fitting our modern times. ‘shutmedown.’ alternates heartfelt and quiet verses to super-charged and explosives choruses, creating this ambivalence between the group’s meaningful lyricism and hard-hitting sonic matter.
As Vattima and Redding explain, ‘shutmedown.’ is bound to kickstart the band’s journey towards stardom: “This song was therapeutic to record, because it was the first song that helped us truly get a gauge for how we want the band to sound, and it’s amazing to see it out and people listening to the work!”
